Put on your running shoes, ladies and gents! And don’t give the upcoming christmas-cookies-season any chance…
…to ruin the last remains of your bikini figur.
Remember what your mum told you? There’s no bad weather but improper clothing. That’s also true for running. So why not start or continue with your running exercises when days are getting colder. And don’t forget: Running in the cold season strengthens your immune system. Hahaha. (Sorry, I don’t want to sound like your doctor.) Whatever reason it is: Vienna is pretty awesome for running. Even when it’s a little bit colder. That’s the point.
So, here are our Top 5 (year-round) running tracks in Austria’s capital.
Schlosspark Schönbrunn (Map)
The track: easy, flat (unless you run up the hill to the Gloriette), traffic-free, pebble stone ground, pretty castle of Schönbrunn and a lovely palace garden, flexible running tracks
For beginners and pros who don’t mind running alongside some (or some more) tourists.

Top 5 are done. But we can’t hold this one back. Even if it’s not really suited for running in deep winter. At least if it’s really icy and snowy. But if the streets are dry and you don’t mind a little trip to the 13th district you should definitely try this one out:
Hermesvilla @ Lainzer Tiergarten (Map)
The track: easy, flat, a mixture of pebble stone ground, concrete floor and forest tracks (depending on which patch you choose), beautiful and huge recreation area with a lot of different routes, passing by Sisi’s „castle of dreams“ – the Hermesvilla
For beginners and pros who like running in historical and natural surrounding at the same time.
